After Pompeii you will know the ancient city of Herculaneum, a small coastal town in Campania, halfway between Naples and Pompeii. The legend attributes the foundation of Herculaneum to Hercules. With the eruption of Vesuvius in 79 AD the city was completely submerged by the volcanic mud river that poured out. The ash mixed with the water that has solidified has determined an absolutely original conservation phenomenon that has allowed us to return finds of organic vegetables, fabrics, furnishings and parts of wooden buildings but also the upper floors of the buildings.
Inside the archaeological sites we advise you to be accompanied by an authorized tourist guide.
At the end of the tour our driver will accompany you to the departure destination, except for any requests made during the booking.
