The tour of the cheese factory and Paestum is designed for those who want to combine history and gastronomic routes. Your licensed English-speaking driver will pick you up in air-conditioned Mercedes car or van and welcome you with your tour schedule. During the day our driver will provide you with information on the culture, history and traditions of the place and will stop on the road to give you time to take photos from the best points of view.
The Greco-Roman archaeological area of Paestum, the ancient Poseidonia, was born as a Greek colony between the sixth and fifth centuries BC.In 273 BC, it became a colony of the Roman Empire with the name of Paestum. During Roman domination, Paestum underwent significant urban development and became a reference point for all types of commercial exchanges in the Mediterranean area. But over the centuries the area became increasingly unhealthy and therefore abandoned.
To visit the Temple of Athena, the Roman Forum, the Sanctuary dedicated to Hera, the so-called Basilica with columns and the Temple of Neptune. The National Archaeological Museum of Paestum houses exceptional finds such as prehistoric finds to the relics of the Lucanian city, from architectural remains to ceramics and sculptures. Part of the museum is dedicated to the archaic sculptures of the famous metopes of the “Heraion di Foce Sele” sanctuary.
After Paestum you can visit the Fattoria of Tenuta Vannullo where you will be projected to discover the flavors of the typical products of the area. In addition to the buffalo mozzarella, ricotta, cheeses, you will find cakes, ice cream and buffalo milk with yogurt which they produced directly on the farm. A visit to the leather goods will follow, where each object is inspired to the lines of the ancient peasant world with products made with buffalo leather with vegetable tanning worked by expert craftsmen.

At the end of the tour our driver will accompany you to the departure destination, except for any requests made during the booking.
